I have worked with Weston Wear for almost 30 years. I have watched them evolve from their start with a basic but perfect pair of leggings into a sophisticated clothing line worn by pop singers (Taylor Swift, Madonna..) and President Obama’s daughter. Made in San Francisco, their clothes are now sold in over 500 stores nationwide. They currently have two successful brands, Weston Wear and Julienne W. I’ve designed their logos, clothing labels, hangar tape, hang tags, postcards, posters, identity systems, ads, company van, corporate headquarters and store graphics.
In the Summer of 2012 we launched a redesign of their website with a password-protected Wholesale login for their buyers to view Look Books, line sheets and style sheets of their lines. I had discovered a wonderful digital magazine app by a company based in Ireland (3D Issue) so my client could host their own Look Book content. In addition the viewer is customizable and mobile responsive, all necessary in the Fashion industry where everyone is traveling. The slideshows on the site are mobile responsive as well. We added a blog, e-newsletter, and designed a Shop area that integrates seamlessly with the site.
Their site is designed so that my client can have an assistant easily update their Press, News, Stores, Collections, add and edit without too much effort. As the site launched I handed off tutorials for back-up.
